Motorists Should Expect Roundabout Delays Monday

Motorists using the Converse/Pershing/ East 19th Street Roundabout should expect lane changes and delays on Monday. December 16 and Tuesday December 17th as crews paint traffic lane markings, weather permitting.

The work is expected to take two days. The lane markings being laid down this time will be temporary, with permanent lane markings scheduled to be painted in the spring of 2014.City officials say during the work all businesses in the area will remain open and accessible.

Assuming no delays in placement of the temporary lane markings, the roundabout will expand to two lanes later in the week, according to Mayor Rick Kaysen.
