A local meteorologist says a wet and somewhat cool summer is likely for southeast Wyoming in 2015.

Don Day jr. of Dayweather, Inc. in Cheyenne notes May 2015 was the second wettest May on record, and he says at least normal or above precipitation is likely to continue through at least through June and July. He says temperatures through the Summer are likely to be ":if anything a little bit on the cool side".

Day says warm waters in the Pacific ocean and a developing "El Nino" weather pattern are behind the wet weather the area has seen recently, and says that trend is likely to continue.
