What better way to raise money for a local cause than by bringing in the big guns? Mark Chestnutt will be taking the stage at Little America on February 22nd to help raise money for the CFD Crisis Fund.  Chesnutt is a pretty big deal around these parts, with hits like, "Goin' Through The Big D (and don't mean Dallas);" "Bubba Shot The Jukebox;" "I Just Wanted You To Know;" and "Almost Goodbye," it's no wonder that Cheyenne locals love him. We can relate to his content!

He released his very first album in the mid 80's called "Doing My Country Thing," (the vinyl album is now a collector's item) and has been cranking them out ever since. Two years ago he released his live album (Live from the Big D) from his very own record label Nada Dinero Records.

The 7th Annual Cheyenne Frontier Days Volunteer Crisis Fund will, once again, host an auction and dinner, with all proceeds benefitting in-need volunteers who help ensure each Frontier Days is the 'Daddy of 'em All.'

Tucker Fagen and Joe Lopez, from the CFD Crisis Fund, explain they hope to help volunteers with everything from medical bills and truck payments, to housing bills and food purchases. If any volunteer is struggling, the CFD Crisis Fund wants to ensure an easier course of life. Fagen and Lopez have previously helped a family whose child had to be flown to Children's Hospital in Denver for medical treatment. "We're all one big family," Fagen and Lopez said. "And in times of crisis, we all take care of each other. That's what it's all about."

On February 22, 2014, cocktails will start at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Mark Chesnutt will take the stage after, around 8 p.m.

Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple. A table of 10 can be purchased for $450.  You can get your tickets at the CFD ticket office, or by calling 308-778-7222. But you better hurry! Tickets for the evening are expected to go FAST, so best get them now!
