Man Killed in Highway Crash Near Gillette

GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — Authorities say one man was killed in a head-on crash just south of the Gillette-Campbell County Airport.

State Trooper Jon Briggs tells The Gillette News Record (http://bit.ly/19Ybuw3 ) a pickup with five passengers had just entered Highway 14-16 when the driver lost control on the slick road and the vehicle slammed into a service truck headed the opposite direction Monday morning.

One man in the pickup who was not wearing a seat belt was ejected and killed. Two other men in the pickup, including the driver, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not released the names or ages of the victims.
