Man Killed in Crash North of Cheyenne

A 30-year-old Nebraska man is dead after a broadside crash north of Cheyenne.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Brian Hendersen was headed south on U.S. Highway 85 shortly before 7 p.m. Friday when he failed to negotiate a sweeping left-hand curve near mile marker 21.

The Patrol says Hendersen's vehicle entered the northbound lane and was broadsided by an oncoming semi.

Hendersen, who was not wearing his seatbelt, died in the crash.  The semi driver was uninjured.

The Patrol says speed and driver inattention may have contributed to the crash.
