Laramie County School District 1 has announced an agreement with Uplift, a family support network which has been in Cheyenne for 20 years, to provide bullying ombudsman services. Superintendent Mark Stock says Uplift has a proven track record of working with parents and family issues. Stock says  Uplift's agreement with the district is already in effect. He says the service will give parents and families another option for dealing with bullying when they feel their concerns have not been addressed. He says other options include speaking with Dr. Lee Neely with the Drug Free and Safe Schools program, Neely can be reached at 771-2255, while people can call Uplift at 778-8686. Stock says the agreement with Uplift won't cost the district anything, since they are a third party not compensated by district 1.
