A spokeswoman for Laramie County Community College says a proposed new Flex-Tech Building on the college's Cheyenne Campus would help train students in the skills employers need.

Lisa Murphy says the building would house programs to train workers in the skills needed by southeast Wyoming employers such as Holly Frontier, Microsoft  or numerous other companies needing employees with specialized technical skills. College officials will ask Laramie County voters to approve a $20 million bond issue in November to go towards the construction of the Flex-Tech building as well as a student center. LCCC is also hoping to receive state money towards the projects. The two LCCC buildings were the top two items on a list of capitol construction projects released this week by the Wyoming. Community College Commission.
