Laramie County Community College recently unveiled the “Fast Track” program, where students can obtain an associate of arts degree in general studies in 18 months or even less, depending on the number of credits already attained.

LCCC spokesman Troy Rumpf says some of the benefits of the accelerated program include the opportunity to take most of these classes conveniently online or in evenings, quickly finish the degree you started months or even years earlier, and transfer to a four-year institution in less than two years

The program begins in the fall of 2013. Classes are offered in 8-week increments and will be repeated each semester. Students have the flexibility to create a schedule that best suits their individual needs and times.Participants in the program are strongly encouraged to meet with an advisor to go over class schedules and prerequisites for the program.
