Laramie County Community College (LCCC) has been named one of the best community colleges in the nation.

A recent study conducted by SmartAsset, ranked LCCC 33rd out of 565 public two-year colleges.

"We received the best score of any school in Wyoming or Colorado," said Lisa Murphy, Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement at LCCC. "I think that says a lot about our community college."

SmartAsset ranked institutions based on quality, cost, student success rate and return on investment.

"Recognition like this is indicative of the hard work of the entire campus over the past few years," said LCCC President Dr. Joe Schaffer. "We've been building a commitment to provide the best possible education and experience, and ultimately our students and graduates are really the ones who benefit."

Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs ranked 37th, Sheridan College 77th and Casper College 100th on SmartAsset's list.
