Hundreds of CSU football fans will be heading to Laramie this Saturday for the Border War and local law enforcement will be out in full force.

Cheyenne Police are teaming up with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie Police Department, Albany County Sheriff’s Office, University of Wyoming Police Department and Wyoming State Park Rangers to patrol U.S. Highway 287 between the Colorado state line and Laramie.

"This is the first time that we're going to be playing a role in it by providing officers and our DUI command vehicle," said Officer Dan Long. "We're going to have a lot of people traveling on 287 and we're going to have that increased presence looking for drunk drivers, speeding and seat belt violations."

Long says the DUI command vehicle has all the equipment needed to process a DUI arrest quickly and efficiently and will allow multiple law enforcement agencies to coordinate traffic enforcement in the region.
