A Laramie teen who has been missing since last August has been found safe in Oklahoma.

According to the Laramie Police Department, Courtney McAllister was found safe in Oklahoma City.  The LPD says the recovery was due, in part, to the website and posters provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Police officials go on to say that the parents of a boy said that the boy had a new girlfriend that he had met online.  The parents checked the Center's website and discovered that the boy's new girlfriend was Courtney McAllister.

It is said that the boy had been led to believe that McAllister was 18-years-old and had the ability to choose where she could go freely.  Recovery efforts were aided with help from the boy.

Police report that McAllister is currently in safe custody and will be picked up by her parents.
