In an effort to curb stop sign violations, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office is stepping up patrols near the TA truck stop this week.

Lt. Don Hollingshead says drivers can expect to see increased traffic enforcement in the area of County Road 140 and U.S. Highway 30.

"Numerous complaints have been called in about semi trucks blowing through the stop signs," said Hollingshead. "So we're stepping up our high visibility enforcement in that area to try to tamp that down."

Hollingshead says the complaints were forwarded to the Wyoming Department of Transportation and they're looking into the possibility of additional signage.
