Even though the August 21 Primary is still 41 days away, a record number of Laramie County voters have already cast their ballots.

Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says 103 voters showed up Friday for the first day of early voting and another 105 cast ballots on Monday.

"We had a fourfold increase from the 2016 Primary, and we had even more voters on the second day," said Lee.

"Our election judges were busy all day and this is not usually the case so early in the process," she added.

Lee says 270 of Laramie County's 42,224 registered voters had cast their ballots as of Tuesday.
