The first phase of work on a concrete repair and repaving project on Interstate 80 has prompted a lane closure on I-80, according to a release from the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

WYDOT says a lane closure has been implemented near the Port of Entry just south of Cheyenne due to a concrete repair project in that area.

A temporary ramp has been set up to allow access to the Port of Entry. The lane closure is expected to last into May. In July, crews will begin milling and paving Interstate 80 from east to west.

Lane closures will also be in effect while that work is conducted and drivers are being reminded to be careful when driving through work zones.
