Several Laramie County judges will face a retention voted on election day, as will three members of the Wyoming Supreme Court.

Judges in Wyoming don't face election day challengers or run retention campaigns and it's pretty unusual for a judge not to be retained. Five Wyoming judges have lost retention votes since 1972 according to Ballotpedia, including a Supreme Court Justice who was booted from the bench by voters in 1992.

Among the Laramie County judges who will be on the ballot on Tuesday are the following:

-Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee

-Laramie County Court Judge Annette Healy

-Laramie County District Court Judge Thomas Campbell

-Laramie County District Court Judge Catherine Rogers

Three Wyoming Supreme Court Judges will also be up for retention. They are:

-Justice Keith Kautz

-Justice William HIll

Justice Catherine Fox

Wyoming state judges are appointed by the governor. The positions are non-partisan, so judges do not run as Republicans, Democrats, or members of  any other political party.
