Laramie County Commission candidate Gunnar Malm says he will donate 50 cents to local charities for every ''Gunnar Malm For Commissioner" sign displayed by his supporters.

Specifically, the Republican candidate says he will donate to the Cheyenne Charitree program and the Eastern Laramie County FFA [Future Farmers of America] programs in Burns and Pine Bluffs. Charitree is a wide-ranging local charity organized and run by Cheyenne City Councilman Richard Johnson.

It is named for a tree in Johson's yard that is one of the drop-off locations for donations. Malm, who announced his run for the commission on March 22, is a Cheyenne realtor who says he is running for the commission as a fiscal conservative.
