Laramie Celebrates Wyoming’s Birthday [PHOTOS]

Wyoming Statehood Day 2013
Trevor T. Trujillo, Townsquare Media

The Laramie festival week known as Jubilee Days started, in 1940, as a celebration of Wyoming’s Statehood Day on July 10th. ¬†Although Jubilee Days has expanded well past one day, Laramie still honors Wyoming’s induction into the United States in 1890 with a day filled with history, activities and fun.

This year’s Wyoming Statehood Day celebration took place at the Territorial Prison State Historic Site in West Laramie. ¬†Attendees were able to gather together and enjoy hot dogs, cake, balloon animals, games, a rubber band shooting gallery, a children’s stick rodeo, tours of the old Territorial Prison and museum, and live presentations.
