Kaysen: Stop Damaging Our Parks

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen has a message for people who treat city parks as "mud bogs"--stop it.

Kaysen says with the recent wet weather some people have taken to driving pickups and various other vehicles in city parks, tearing up the landscape and damaging grassy areas. He says that while some people may see such public properties as mud bogs suitable for "four wheeling", the fact is "such behaviour is unacceptable" and leaves ruts and other damage.

The mayor says another problem is people who have been digging up flowers and other city-owned plants and taking them home. The mayor says of such behavior "it's thievery, that's all it is".

Kaysen is asking people to keep an eye out for both types of behavior and report it when they see it.
