Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says a partial agreement between the city and the owners of the former Hollywood Video store property will avoid a court fight and allow work on the Pershing/Converse/19th Street Roundabout project to get underway next spring. The partial agreement includes provisions allowing the work to begin. The city also agreed to provide access points in and out of the property and to make certain on-site improvements to the property. Kaysen says the city is preparing a development agreement that will address standards for any proposed redevelopment of the site.

Kaysen says in light of the agreement, a court date of November 26th on condemnation of the property is cancelled, and the city will began taking bids on work related to the project. The mayor says the Cheyenne City Attorney's Office and the lawyer representing the property owner are still working to hammer out remaining details of a final agreement.
