Kaysen: Cheyenne Frontier Days Underage Drinking A Concern

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says that while he thinks Cheyenne Frontier Days 2014 overall went very well, he is concerned about underage drinking during CFD.

Cheyenne Police issued 33 citations for underage drinking during the recent Frontier Days celebration, more than double the 16 such citations issued during CFD 2012. Kaysen says 'we're not going to shy away" from the increase in underage drinking citations issued this year, adding police were "very aggressive" in enforcement of the alcohol laws.

Kaysen says he has already met with Frontier Days officials about what can be done to address underage drinking as well as transportation and other issues. He says more such meetings will be held in the future.
