Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen is giving the 2015 Wyoming Legislative session a mixed review.

The mayor called the $8 million for local government in the legislature's supplemental budget 'disappointing"  when compared to the $25 million requested by Governor Matt Mead, although he says the smaller amount "will help".

Kaysen says that while he understands the concerns about state revenues in light of declining energy prices "we still have a lot of needs in local government across our state."

Kaysen says overall he considers the session " a mixed bag", adding no matter what lawmakers do "some people will be happy and some won't".

He also thanked the 90 members of the legislature for their efforts.
