Two Kansas teens who ran away from home four months ago were arrested in Cheyenne early this morning.

According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant David Wagener, a trooper pulled a car over for having a rear license plate light out near the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and E. Pershing around 1:15 a.m. and discovered the driver and her female passenger were runaways from Junction City.

Apparently the teens had been all over the country, including Illinois, Texas, Nebraska and finally Wyoming, obtaining jobs under false names and birthdays indicating they were 21.

The 15-year-old was arrested and charged with impaired driving. The 16-year-old was arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Another passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Nickolas Allan of Henry, Nebraska, was cited for possession of misdemeanor marijuana and released.

The two teens are being held at the Laramie County Juvenile Services Center until family members can pick them up. It's unknown at this time if they'll be facing any felony charges.
