Two men were arrested Tuesday afternoon at a Sweetwater County truck stop after 36 pounds of pot were found in a car they were driving, according to a release from the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff Mike Lowell says the county K9 team was on routine patrol at Cruel Jack's Travel Plaza west of Rock Springs on the afternoon of August 21 when the team's drug detection dog ''alerted" on a vehicle with Oregon plates, leading deputies to search the car.

Lowell says they found a total of 36.5 pounds of pot in luggage, duffel bags and vacuum-sealed bags. They also found a vacuum-sealing device. Deputies arrested 25-year-old Diamante Carpenter and 35-year-old Bobby Williams of Chicago after the search.
