The preliminary hearing of a 20 year old Cheyenne man who is accused of aggravated robbery in connection with with the armed holdup of a cash advance store in Cheyenne has been postponed until February 5th.

Prosecutors say Terrence James, along with his 19 year old brother Isaac James ,and 28 year old Kevin Lewis, all of Cheyenne, entered the Advance America Cash Advance store on East Lincolnway on January 10, displayed handguns and demanded cash. According to court documents, the three were led to a store safe from which they took a little over $1700 before fleeing. Terrence James and Lewis were arrested by Cheyenne police early on the morning of January 11 after police identified the vehicle they were in as similar to the car used in the robbery.

On Tuesday, January 22, Terrence James' attorney agreed to waive his right to a speedy preliminary hearing, and Circuit Court Judge Roberta Coates rescheduled the hearing for February 5 at 1:30 pm.Isaac James and Kevin Lewis have preliminary hearing;s scheduled for Wednesday, January 23 in Circuit Court in Cheyenne.. Police in Laramie have accused  Terrence James and Lewis of robbing the West Laramie Fairfield Inn a few minutes after midnight on January1.
