UPDATE 8:25 AM: WYDOT has now closed Interstate 80 in both directions between Cheyenne and Laramie

Four stretches of Interstate 80 eastbound from Laramie to Cheyenne have been closed this morning due to the spring snowstorm that is rocking southeast Wyoming, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

The eastbound lane of the Interstate is currently closed all the way from Laramie to Cheyenne. Meanwhile, no unnecessary travel is advised in the westbound lane between Cheyenne and Otto Road.

Other portions of the interstate's westbound route from Cheyenne to Laramie remained open at last report, but slick conditions and poor visibility were creating road hazards.

At last report Interstate 25 remained open in southeast Wyoming, although wet and snowy conditions were being reported in some areas.
