Recently, the site WalletHub.com, put out its yearly St. Patrick's Day By The Numbers report, to take a look at how much party goers spend for the green holiday.

The St. Patrick's Day celebrations across the country, yield a cost of about 4.4 billion bucks, and that number is projected for 2016.

  • The average amount spent on St. Patty's Day is $35.4 million.
  • Approximately 13 million pints of Guinness beer will be drunk on St. Patrick's Day.
  • Drunk-driving deaths on the green holiday was 266, between 2010-2014.
  • Cabbage shipments are expected to increase by about 70% in 2016.
  • Irish-American households bring in about $62,141 median income a year.

How do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Whatever you do, please be safe, don't drink and drive and don't be a food glutton, by eating to much cabbage.
