Casper Fire EMS responded to a call of a house fire on the 6300 block of Chief Washakie Road near Casper's Paradise Valley, late Sunday night.

According to Casper Fire EMS Engineer Jason Parks, emergency responders got the call around 11:30 PM Sunday night.  The fire was reported in a two-story single-family home currently under construction.  The home was unoccupied at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported.

Parks goes on to say that there was significant damage done to the home, with burning on all three levels.  Heavy burning occurred in the home's crawl space, which caused the floor of the ground-level story to collapse.  At that point firefighters began fighting the fire defensively cutting holes into the house and fighting the fire from the exterior.

We will have further details on this story as they become available.
