Holmes Applauds Library Budget Changes

Laramie County Commissioner  Keith ''Buck'' Holmes says the Laramie County Library did a good job of reducing costs in their fiscal year 2014 budget after commissioners expressed concerns about the proposed budget.

Holmes says library head Lucy Osborn and her staff were able to reduce the library's budget deficit down by "well over a half a million dollars" after commissioners expressed concerns about the preliminary budget proposal for the library..

Holmes, adds, however, that the costs of operating the library have turned out to be different than the cost projections put forward by supporters of the new library when it was built.
