State Superintendant of Public Instruction Cindy Hill says the recent announcement by Laramie County School Disitrict 1 to have the Uplift organization serve as an ombudsman for bullying issues was  a  good decision. Hill, who worked in the district as a teacher and adminsitrator before being elected State Superintendant, says she has a long association with Uplift and has always found them to be very supportive of children and dedicated to helping families. The agreement, which was announced last week, will not cost the district any money because Uplift is a non-profit organization which receives state money. Hill says she is concerned that Uplift may have to ask for more state money in view of their agreement with the district, because the orginization is, in her words "spread pretty thin" at this point.
