Extremely strong winds are causing travel restrictions on parts of Interstates 80 and 25 in southeast Wyoming, according to the WYDOT road and travel website.

As of 10 a.m., Interstate 25 was closed to light, high profile vehicles all the way from the Wyoming/Colorado state line to Wheatland. An Extreme Blow Over Risk warning had been issued for the same section of I-25. Meanwhile, Interstate 80 had the same warnings and restrictions in effect all the way from Cheyenne west to Walcott Junction.

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for all of southeast Wyoming west of I-25 for today, with wind speeds as high as 70-80 mph possible in some areas.
