High West Energy has pledged to donate $50,000 towards a new Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Clinic in Pine Bluffs.

The new facility  will replace a 54 year old clinic which is not compliant with the federal Americans  with Disabilities Act or with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. High West CEO/General Manager Brian Heithoff says the donation will not come from ratepayer utility payments, but from a seperate fund.

Heithoff says the clinic is a 'quality of life issue" for the utility's customers. Work on the $1.55 million dollar clinic is scheduled to get underway next spring and be completed within a few months, according to CRMC officials.

The donation to the Cheyenne Regional Medical  Center Foundation was announced on Thursday.
