It's inevitable, the workforce that we know as Millennials, have invaded our workspace at a very fast and aggressive pace. But how does one mange them in the work place? How do we define a "Millennial?" That's pretty easy. Anyone who born between the years 1980 to 2000 are considered Millennial.

They have experience in pretty much getting whatever they wanted growing up as a result of the successful 80's, to hovering parents and going to school learning about the technology that many of struggle with today.

Today on the Top 5 at 7:45, I'll highlight some remedies that HR Managers have used in order to manage this new mindset invading our work places. Be frustrated no longer.

  1. Let Them Multitask - Millennials are excellent at multitasking. They live, breathe and sleep multitask. They will experience boredom if you don't have many tasks for them to complete on a day-to-day basis. Make sure you monitor what might be too much for them to handle in order to be affective.
  2. Computer & Cell Phone Literacy  - Take advantage of their vast knowledge of working a computer and getting around on a cell phone. This comes in handy in 2015 where computers and cell phones almost run hand-in-hand.
  3. Provide Good Structure - Because many of their lives were very structured growing up, Millennials feel more comfortable in a good structured environment. It's like adding water to oatmeal. Goodness comes with the right mixture.
  4. Strong Leadership - Millennials need strong leadership and someone who can thoroughly explain the task to them. They will have many questions about programs and functions because they are bent on executing these in the best way possible.
  5. Team Work - Millennials like to work in groups and workshops. They know that "team work makes the dream work", therefore they should be encouraged to join various teams in your company.
