A man who is in the Laramie County Detention Center on charges of killing his ex-girlfriend and wounding another man in a shooting incident earlier this year is now accused of assaulting a deputy and letting another inmate out of his jail cell.

According to a release from the Laramie County Sheriff's Department, Daniel Guajardo was out of his cell making a phone call on Wednesday when he attacked a deputy by pulling him off of a set of stairs, causing the deputy to suffer a knee injury.

Guajardo then allegedly let another inmate out of his cell. The man Guajardo released, who's name has so far not been released, then went into a third inmate's cell and attacked him.

The name of the inmate accused in the second assault won't be released until he is formally charged.

Guajardo is accused fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend,  26 year old Janessa Spencer, and shooting 24 year old Sam Cook of Cheyenne, who survived the incident, in Cheyenne in April.
