Green River Fugitive Captured

A Green River man who was listed on the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Department's most wanted list was captured in Rock Springs Friday.

Sheriff's Department spokesman Dick Blust says investigators acting on several tips found 24 year old Rodney Hayes Smith III at a Rock Springs residence.

Smith was wanted for probation revocation. His original charges were Larceny and Conspiracy to Commit Forgery.

Those charges stemmed from a 2010-2011 investigation by the Green River and Rock Springs Police Departments involving counterfeit money being used to purchase drugs.
