Governor Matt Mead and First Lady Carol Mead stopped by the 2013 Governor's Capitol Art Exhibition and Sale Monday to select the governor's favorite piece. Now in it's 14th year, the juried exhibition will be on display through June 30, at the Wyoming State Museum in Cheyenne. David Newell, curator of exhibits at the Wyoming State Museum, says the elected officials select the pruchase awards that they give for the show. Newell says once that process is done and we know what pieces are being purchased, they open the show up to the general public. Newell says everything in the show is for sale. He adds the  purchase award reception is scheduled for June 21 from 5 - 7 p.m. Artworks included in the show will be available for purchase by the public after June 10.
