Governor Matt Mead wants people across the state to be part of finalizing the Wyoming Water Strategy.

Last week, the Governor’s Office released a list of possible measures to be implemented as components of a Water Strategy. A video of this meeting can be viewed online. Governor Mead now wants widespread comment on what Wyoming people believe is the most important focus for the state.

Governor Mead in a news release said "water is a valuable resource and it is important to have a plan for the future.” The governor added “public input and comment have given us direction and I want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to be a part of this plan.”

The Governor’s Office is accepting public comments for the next 60 days ending August 4, 2014.
