Governor Matt Mead has issued a proclamation declaring June as “Workforce Development Month” in the State of Wyoming. The proclamation recognizes the importance of partnerships in job training, education and other workforce development services in strengthening the state’s economy.

Governor Mead says a strong and competitive workforce is critical to Wyoming’s economic vitality. He adds that the proclamation recognizes these vital efforts and reaffirms our commitment to supporting Wyoming’s job creators and workforce.

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services will be hosting events throughout the state during month of June. Workforce Development month will culminate with the 2013 Wyoming Safety and Workforce Summit. The Summit will be held June 25-26 at Western Community College in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
