Wyoming Governor Matt Mead is hoping an international trade mission will provide the state with new opportunities.

Governor Mead is meeting with industry and government officials in Japan, India, Germany and England to discuss everything from energy to tourism.

"We think there's a great opportunity in those countries with companies that we have been meeting with by telephone and in person over the last several months to provide us an opportunity for greater international trade," said Governor Mead.

The Cowboy State saw a double-digit increase in international trade in 2013, something Governor Mead hopes to continue. He is set to return to Wyoming on October 30.
