The federal government shutdown means more than 7 million Americans have been kept out of the national parks and $750 million in visitor spending has been lost. That's according to the Coalition of National Park Service Retirees. A report by a disability advocacy group says residents at a state facility for the developmentally disabled are exposed to significant safety risks.
