Governor Matt Mead appointed William Edelman as the Fourth Judicial District Judge for Johnson County. This is a new judicial seat created by the 2012 Legislature. Governor Mead says Edelman has a long history as a prosecutor, and has worked in both criminal defense and in civil law. He is widely respected in the legal community and I believe he can step in and do a great job.

The Judicial Nominating Commission is chaired by Wyoming Supreme Court Chief Justice Marilyn Kite. Other members are: Robert Shively, Bruce Salzburg, Jeremy Michaels, Richard Bridger, Shelly Christianson and Gina Monk.

Edelman was born in Sheridan and works for the Campbell County Attorney as Chief Deputy County and Prosecuting Attorney. He has undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wyoming.
