The Wyoming State Parks are encouraging people to visit Glendo this weekend touting positive water levels and open camp grounds. The official release is below.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WY State Parks officials are encouraging visitors to enjoy Glendo State Park over the Memorial Day weekend.

Water levels at Glendo State Park have not risen significantly in recent weeks, and with a favorable weather forecast, water recreation and camping opportunities should be close to normal over the Memorial Day weekend.

With the addition of 70 temporary campsites at the park, more than 480 campsites are available at the park, including 32 at Hall’s Marina. Additionally, camping areas are also available in and around the Town of Glendo.

Indian Point, Broken Arrow, Burnt Wagon and Muddy Bay campgrounds have been closed, as well as several other lower level camp sites scattered throughout the park. The Indian Point boat ramp is also closed.

Also, until further notice, reservations have been suspended at Willow Campground and a portion of the Dune campground.

All other Wyoming State Parks and Historic Sites are only reporting a handful of campsite closures throughout the state with many reporting no closures.
