A 46-year-old Gillette man is dead after rolling his pickup northeast of Ten Sleep.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Patrol says Christopher Short was headed west on U.S. Highway 16 when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve near milepost 37, exited the roadway and overturned.

Short, who was unbuckled, was pinned in the pickup and died at the scene.

The Patrol says speed may have contributed to the crash.
