A full burn ban for Laramie County from the Colorado/Wyoming state line to the Platte County line west of I-25 will take effect as of 8 a.m. on July 18th.  For residents who live in unincorporated areas of Laramie County east of I-25 the current partial burn ban will still be in effect.

Laramie County Fire Warden Bill McHenry says under a full burn ban, all outdoor fires  and the The discharge of fireworks is prohibited. Smoking is allowed only in enclosed buildings or vehicles, developed recreation sites, or while stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable materials. The use of motorized equipment or tools can only be used in areas that are cleared 10 feet in radius. Fires in fireplaces and wood stoves without chimney or flue screens are forbidden.
