According to Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell, in February, 2009, Brittany Leanne Poignee, 26, a Rock Springs resident, pled no contest to Unlawful Manufacture or Delivery (Methamphetamine) in District Court in Green River and was placed on supervised probation for five years. Her charges stemmed from a DCI investigation.

Two years later, her probation was revoked and she was sentenced to a prison term of three to five years at the Wyoming Women’s Center, but that sentence was suspended and she was placed on three years of supervised probation.

On January 14, 2014, an Order Extending Probation was filed with the District Court and her probation was extended until the 18th of August, 2015. On April 16, 2015, Poignee’s probation was once again revoked and reinstated for a period of two years.

On May 22, 2015, an affidavit declaring that Poignee had yet again violated her probation was filed by Probation and Parole, Wyoming Department of Corrections, and a bench warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest.

Detectives of the Sheriff’s Office SNAAG (Sheriff’s Narcotics and Arrest Group) unit pursued leads that led them to a residence north of Rock Springs, where they arrested Poignee on June 10.

Poignee remains in custody at the Sweetwater County Detention Center pending her next court appearance.
