The former President of the Wyoming Board of Nursing waived her right to a preliminary hearing on felony drug charges Thursday morning in Cheyenne.

Cynthia Woods of Wheatland is accused is supplying hydrocodone to Eric McVicker, the chief financial officer with the Wyoming Department of Health.

She resigned as president of the nursing board last week. As of Thursday McVicker remained with the Health Department, according to department spokeswoman Kim Deti.

Under Wyoming law criminal defendants have the right to a preliminary hearing in circuit court to decide whether evidence in the case merits a possible trial.

When a defendant waives that right the case is automatically bound over to district court.
