Flooding Related Network Outage Shuts Down WYDOT Driver’s Services

A flooding-related computer network outage prevented WYDOT driver license examination stations around the state from issuing or renewing licenses or ID cards for much of the day Friday. According to a news release, the outage prevented WYDOT Driver Services from making the necessary checks of applicants driving records in other states. Officials said it appeared unlikely the outage would be resolved quickly, and it could still prevent issuing of licenses Monday.
