The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Flash Flood Warning for north-central Laramie County effective until 7 p.m.

At 3:58 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area and up to three inches of rain had fallen.

The Service expects the majority of the flash flooding to occur in rural areas of the county, especially along Bear Creek.

Motorists who encounter flooded roadways should turn around and find an alternate route around that area.
