A fire shortly after noon Friday at 3546 Ridge Road caused no injuries but did extensive damage.

According to city of Cheyenne spokesman Scott Smith, Cheyenne Fire&Rescue firefighters were called to the address at 12:06 p.m.. The fire was extinguished by 12:30 P.M. Two occupants of the home escaped the blaze and had called 911 from a neighbors house.

Despite the quick action by firefighters, damage to the home was estimated at $117,500, including damage to contents o. A section of Ridge Road was closed for about two hours while crews were on the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Cheyenne Firefighters Burnout Program and the American Red Cross are helping the occupants.
