GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (AP) — Reports of elk hunting violations in southwest Wyoming have kept the state Game and Fish Department busy during the opening days of the hunting season.

Cokeville game warden Neil Hymas says he's investigating an incident where two elk were shot and killed but one of the elk was left to waste.

The incident is thought to have occurred last Saturday in the Bridger Basin area of Elk Hunt Area 105.

Hymas says Game and Fish has received three reports of wasted elk in the hunt area during the first week of the season.

The agency also is investigating two other cases of wasted big game in Uinta County that were reported last week involving a mule deer and an elk.Elk H
