Election Day 2012

Polls are open today from 7am until 7pm, and voters who are in line at 7 pm will be allowed to vote. Precinct information on where you vote is available at laramiecountyclerk.com. People can register to vote today at the polls, and employers are required to give employees who do not have at least three consecutive hours off during the time the polls are open an hour off to vote.

Cheyenne races include Mayor, where one term incumbent Rick Kaysen faces challenger John Palmer, a city employee. Five candidates are vying for two four year seats on the Laramie County Commission, which is expanding to five members. Three other candidates are vying for a two year seat on the commission.. Several city council, legislative and school board seats are also on the local election ballot.
